Experience
Mentor's academic background: Major in Data Science and minor in Computer Science at UC Berkeley. I have recently worked as a teaching assistant for the Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF)—a program which provides young minorities with the opportunity to succeed in the S.T.E.M. field. In high school, I used to be the editor for my school's yearbook club. In college, I currently hold the role of Outreach Co-chair for the Fiat Lux Scholar Association (FLSA) where I am in charge of communicating with UC Berkeley's financial department and various high schools. I was a participant of Google's Software Product Sprint (SPS) program during the 2021 spring semester. I am a first generation high school graduate and college student. I was valedictorian for the class of 2019 with a 4.0 unweighted GPA. I am the recipient of the Fiat Lux Scholarship, which is a full-ride scholarship. I am passionate about increasing the representation of minorities in the computer science field. I really enjoy helping people who have dealt with a lot of struggle in their lives.
