Eco Apparel is an innovative social enterprise aiming to address the environmental and social issues caused by unsustainable production practices, striving to revolutionize the fashion industry by promoting sustainability, affordability, and inclusivity through material, design, and sizing.
The brand aims to address the problem of exclusive clothing sizes, unthoughtful consumptions, and lacking environmental consciousness in the fashion market. Aiming to challenge current trends in fashion, we promote more ethical cycles that inspire individuals to practice self-love and acceptance.
Timeline
2022.6: The idea of Eco Apparel was born after the founder was informed of the concept of vegan leather and sustainable textiles. Eco Apparel was intended to be formed as a brand for the public to know more about sustainability in the fashion industry.
2024.2: After a long maturation process of the idea, the founder gathered like-minded friends and applied to the ACAMIS Jim Koerschen award for startup fund for the project, and ended up receiving $1000 of the Service Learning Grant.
2024.4: The founder and a team member used Eco Apparel as their business idea and attended the Avenir Business Competition and won. Using the prize money from the two platforms, the team then started to execute the idea.
2024.8: The brand debuted on social media with an introduction to their concepts and missions.
2024.12: Eco Apparel launched its first product to the public!
