Quantum entanglement is the phenomenon that occurs when a group of particles aregenerated, interact, or share spatial proximity in a way such that the quantum state of each particle of the group cannot be described independently of the state of the others, including when the particles are separated by a large distance. The topic of quantum entanglement is atthe heart of the disparity between classical and quantum physics: entanglement is a primary feature of quantum mechanics not present in classical mechanics.
It’s completely a brand new concept in the whole physics, it’s not easy to understand because it is so complex. A really great scientific movie Antman 2 have mentioned it in 2018, although that is a sci-fi movie, it’s view is still reasonable. Measurement of physical properties such as position, momentum, pin and polarisation performed on entangled particles can, in some cases, be found to be perfectly correlated . For example, if a pair of entangled particles is generated such that their total spin is known to be zero, and one particleis found to have clockwise spin on a first axis, then the spin of the other particle, measured onthe same axis, is found to be anticlockwise. However, this behaviour gives rise to seemingly paradoxical effects: any measurement of a particle's properties results in anirreversible wave function collapse of that particle and changes the original quantum state. With entangled particles, such measurements affect the entangled system as a whole.
This concept was first proposed by Albert Einstein, Boris Podolsky and Nathan Rosen in an articlewritten in 1935. And Erwin Schrödinger also publish anarticle about Quantum entanglement and describing what came to be known as the EPR paradox. Einsteinand others considered such behaviour impossible, as it violated the local realism view of causality (Einstein referring to it as “spooky action of the distance”) and argued that the accepted formulation of quantum Meccaics must therefore be incomplete.
Quantum entanglement is still a really hot topic in the whole Physics , there are many researchers and scientist still researching it nowadays , the Nobel Prize inPhysics 2022 was awarded to Alain Aspect, John F. Clausser and Anton Zealger “for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bellin equalities and pioneering quantum information science”. Their results will contribute to new technology involving quantum information.
