The project would entail making plasmid constructs of mutants in the outer membrane porin in Neisseria gonorrhoeae and using them to transform bacteria. The main project is to understand the role of porin in immune suppression of dendritic cells.

Basic Molecular Biology skills

Time Commitment: 10 hours/week, semester-based
Looking for someone who wants a fulfilling research experience in furtherance of their career goals. Most of my former undergraduates have gone on to graduate/medical school.
