What are your thoughts on the impact of art and sports on social and global progress, and do you believe that one has made a greater contribution than the other?
You are framing this as if it is a dichotomy. There are forms of sports that are pretty much art(for example, freestyle gymnastics, figure skating, martial arts). Are you concerned about forms of sports that aren't art?
A more generous definition would consider all forms of sports art because you know, dudes running fast with nigh-perfect forms look sick. What are you even asking?
I mean generally, like if you had to choose to study an extracurricular course, which one would you choose if you did have prefer in both arts and sports. Does art contribute to social progress or does sports contribute? lol
"Does art contribute to social progress or does sports contribute?"
Both do. I am fairly sure the question behind the question is "What out of the two contributes more?". Then again, I would choose (exclusively--meaning arts that aren't sports) arts for myself personally because I am not physically strong or agile enough to enjoy exclusively sporting events.
So in the end it really depends on what you are asking for. I am mocked to be an AI in group chats, so I don't think a sample consisting of myself is that much more representative than having none at all.
I would say it's hard to determine which has a greater impact. It's simply way too much to talk about.
